Who We Write For
Insightful Word is written for general US adult readers who want a working knowledge of markets and policy without going to specialist trade press. Our typical reader holds investments — through a 401(k), an individual brokerage, or both — but is not a professional trader. They follow the news enough to want context, not just headlines, and they are short on time. Most of our readership is in the United States; we are accessible internationally but our editorial frame is US-domestic.
How We Work
Our editorial team selects the day's stories with two questions in mind: does it actually matter to a US reader, and can we add something — context, plain language, the trade-off underneath the headline — that they would not get from a wire copy? We aim for clarity over cleverness, and we are explicit when we are reporting versus when we are characterizing.
